Thanks so much for thinking of us for your fundraising event. We believe in building resilient communities – locally, Islandwide and provincially.
Each year we donate to many important charitable organizations and groups that support education, health awareness, the arts, animal protection, the environment and other critical areas. While we would love to contribute to all requests, we receive far too many in one year. However, we assure you our review committee will review your request.
Prior to submitting your letter of request and associated form, we ask that you read through the criteria we have established for donation requests.
Donation Criteria & Information
- The Old House Hotel primarily provides in-kind donations for silent or live auction fundraising events.
- Requests must be submitted at least 8 weeks prior to the event to allow our donation committee time to review and process your request.
- Direct financial support is not provided through this program, but rather through formal sponsorship relationships.
- We limit requests to one donation request per organization in one year. Formal partnerships, however, do provide a more expansive approach to donations.
- Only those organizations that have been selected will be contacted. If we can approve your request, we will do so with a letter, email or phone call. Also, a letter and certificate outlining the donation details, including the donation value and date restrictions of the certificate, will be mailed.
