Courtenay’s 5th Street Bridge is undergoing rehabilitation for approximately six months with projected completion in Fall of 2021. Those entering and leaving the north end of the city should be aware of the alternate route detailed here.

Travel the scenic “Ocean Side” two lane route of the Trans Canada highway along the eastern coastline or journey via the newer four lane Inland Island Highway.
